Java Application Developer

Job Description:

Interactive Brokers is seeking a Java Developer for its Web Marketing Group. The candidate will be expected to participate in all phases of the software development cycle. The candidate must be highly analytical and have the ability to independently solve complex problems.


The successful candidate will develop and maintain in-house and customer facing web-based applications and programs. These include but are not limited to our Customer Relationship Management and Sales and Marketing support applications.


BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Mathematics
Minimum 2 years of experience as an application developer
Minimum 2 years of experience in Java technologies (Java Servlets, JSP, J2EE, EJB)
Minimum 2 years of experience with Linux (including shell programming)
Good knowledge of XML, JavaScript, CSS , HTML, and SQL
Experience with Java PDF APIs preferred
Exposure to jQuery, JSON and AJAX fundamentals
Oracle Java Programmer Certification a plus

Sr. Public Relations Specialist

Position Overview

The Sr. Public Relations Specialist implements the Public Relations plans to help build and maintain a favorable public image. He/she executes public relations activities such as plan development and implementation, message development, event planning, writing and distributing press releases, case studies and other press materials, creating and disseminating media coverage reports and monthly reports and fielding incoming media inquires.


•Requires daily interaction with key mainstream consumer, lifestyle and trade media, from proactive pitching of product and Corporate news to the coordination of press tours, press conferences, trade shows and analyst events

•Requires daily interaction with internal product groups

•Helps develop communications materials, including press releases, pitch letters, messaging documents, case studies, feature articles and trend stories

•Ability to help management make a PR plan come to life

•Must work effectively as a member of a PR team that is dedicated to garnering positive press for the Company and its brands

•Acts as a public relations contact for new product introductions, product launches and product reviews to enhance and support sales objectives. 

Sales Account Manager


All New Business Development Managers are responsible for out bound prospecting with goal of acquiring new customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary focus is to develop a sufficient pipeline by prospecting potential customers through outbound activity from inactive, existing customers and prospect databases
Secondary focus is to be involved in managing and working with their assigned accounts to grow revenue by presenting new options and products lines.
Activities include creating, and managing sales programs for each account.  Documenting call activity, sales plans, competitive data, next steps, and actions items in CRM 
Achieving sales goals through sales pipeline development, sales leads, understanding sales metrics, and other plans or assigned sales functions and processes

Minimum inbound/outbound calls on average per day is 80 (touch points.)

Additional duties:

Provide technical knowledge to external customers to solve installation or sales related questions
Product knowledge: Must have basic knowledge in the differential industry
Communication: Must have outstanding communication skills in both oral and written form
Product Feedback: Provide input/suggestions for enhancement and/or new product ideas including competitive information
Customer satisfaction: Track the progress and status of customers on an ongoing basis to ensure customer satisfaction
